La Positiva

La Positiva is a Peruvian insurance brand whose Seguro Complementario de Trabajo de Riesgo offering distinguishes SCTR Salud and SCTR Pensión. Its contracting page identifies La Positiva S.A. Entidad Prestadora de Salud and La Positiva Vida Seguros y Reaseguros S.A. This entry covers the brand while separating the operators and functions of each component.

An offering presented under one brand can involve two entities and two products. Health coverage addresses occupational care and pension coverage addresses financial consequences. Contracts, policy periods and declared workers establish the actual combination.

Two entities under one brand

Published terms identify the EPS with tax number 20601978572 and La Positiva Vida with 20454073143. This is more than a marketing distinction: it identifies which entity assumes each obligation. A combined proposal should be read by identifying both products, their documents and the entity named in each contractual relationship.

The role of SCTR Salud

The healthcare component of Peru’s system addresses treatment for covered occupational accidents and diseases. It includes healthcare and rehabilitation under the relevant rules. An ordinary health plan from La Positiva or another entity serves a different purpose; a common brand does not make its conditions or care networks interchangeable.

The role of SCTR Pensión

The pension component addresses disability, survivors and funeral benefits under the insurance terms. La Positiva’s webpage expressly distinguishes SCTR Pensión from SCTR Salud. Assessment of harm, occupational causation and evidence of earnings or beneficiary status matter according to the benefit requested. Receiving treatment does not automatically establish entitlement to a pension.

Contracting and risk assessment

The offering allows companies to request information and a proposal. Its conditions state that the commercial premium depends on assessment of the activities undertaken. A promotional rate should therefore not be represented as universal. Work descriptions, included workers and coverage dates need to agree across contracting records and issued certificates.

Coordination and continuing duties

Following one event, an employer may need to connect healthcare and pension documents. Coordination does not remove the distinction between components or their operators. SCTR addresses consequences of insured occupational risks. Hazard identification, training and implementation of controls remain part of the employer’s occupational safety and health responsibilities.

Frequently asked questions

Are La Positiva EPS and La Positiva Vida the same company?

No. The SCTR page identifies separate company names and tax numbers. This entry groups them by brand to explain their complementary roles.

Does a proposal labelled SCTR prove both components are active?

The issued products and entity named in each contract must be checked. A brand name or quotation request alone does not establish coverage.
